The Consultative Committee of the Central American Integration System (CC-SICA)

The Central American Integration System (Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana, or SICA) is the institutional framework for Central American Regional Integration created by the States of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Belize and the Dominican Republic subsequently joined as full members in 2000 and 2013, respectively. Its fundamental objective is to promote policy integration  in Central America and position it as a region of peace, freedom, democracy, and development.

The Consultative Committee of the Central American Integration System (Comité Consultivo del Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana, CC-SICA) is the body allowing for participation of civil society organizations, regionally organized within the framework of the Central American integration process. The CC-SICA brings together 30 Central American regional organizations/networks with a presence in at least four of SICA's member countries.

Employers' and workers' organizations organized at the regional level are also represented in the CC-SICA (see the composition here). This Committee advises the General Secretariat on the organization's policy and programs.
