The EU-Morocco Joint Advisory Group

The European Union and Morocco are bound by an association agreement signed in 1996, which entered into force in 2000. In March 2013, a proposal for a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement was launched.

In May 2017, the Moroccan Economic, Social and Environmental Council and the European Economic and Social Committee (ESCC) established the EU-Morocco Joint Advisory Group to ensure civil society's voice is heard in the ongoing negotiations.
